Is it possible to create Pie Chart using Scripted field ?

Hi All,

We are having two scripted fields F1 and F2.

We would like to create Pie Charts and add F1 or F2 in 'Statistic Type'

But those fields are not appear in the Statistic type dropdown.

Is there any way to create Pie Chart using scripted fields?

I have also tried to use the Scripted Fields in some other context and had to find out, that those will be calculated at runtime when the user displays them. That prevents these fields from being used in various contexts such as filters etc.

Therefore I do not see an option to use them in Pie Charts.

However, as you already have implemented some logic there, I could imagine of some helper fields with some default type, so that the scripted fields will not be used but instead populate the helper fields under certain conditions. Those fields could then be used in filters and charts.

This will cause some history blowup on the affected issues, but might be a valid option if those diagrams are crucial.

@satyanarayana_singamsetti The Pie Chart gadget supports only a limited field types, but those include e.g. the Number custom field type. A workaround idea is to copy the value of the scripted field to a custom field that the Pie Chart supports.

You can do this by using an automation rule.
