We have a project requirement to enhance user accessibility by displaying additional or specific workflow transition buttons on the issue view screen.
Current Jira setup:
- Version: Jira Server v9.4 with a Data Center license
- Environment: Linux VM
I came across this Atlassian document about adding more workflow transition buttons:

I tried the approach mentioned in the document, which involves updating the ops.bar.group.size.opsbar-transitions attribute in the jira-config.properties file. However, it doesn't seem to work with Jira Server v9.x.
Our specific requirements are:
- Display a particular workflow transition button from available transition options. As these transition buttons can be changed based on the current issue status and user permissions
- Show this button based on specific conditions, such as when the issue status is 'Done' or if the 'Due Date' is less than a certain date...something like this.
Is there an alternative way to implement this functionality in Jira Server v9.x? Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
