agile board configure columns

is there a way to save a default set of columns for use on any agile board?

we have lots of statuses and it seems we must place those in the proper column each time we create a new board.

No, there's no way to have a default set of columns, we recommend having a board that you consider the 'base' board then copying it when you create new boards.

Shaun, are there any plans to add this capability? It seems pretty obvious and in keeping with extensive configurability of Jira
