Completion Progress % of Epic

Question

Hi all, I am trying to calculate the completion progress % of an epic using the formula Count(Issues[Status in ("Done", "Completed")]) / Count(Issues) * 100. Unfortunately, I am getting an error. Does anyone have experience implementing this feature?

Thanks, Danut. I want to map the progress/completion % field to a field in Aha!, but I need to find a way to generate this data so that I can bring this data into Aha. I cannot use advanced roadmap mapping or structure board fields, which do not allow me to map the fields. Installing third-party plugins won’t work in my case.

How are you trying to achieve this? Via automation?

For displaying the epics completion, you could use the Advanced Roadmaps for Jira, which has great capabilities for displaying epics, completion, timeline.

Another alternative would be to search for an add-on on Atlassian Marketplace that provides this functionality.

If you consider the idea of using an add-on, our Great Gadgets app offers a Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget that can display the progress of the epics based on child issues by issue count, sum of story points, percentage completion in form of multi-dimensional tables, heat-map tables, or charts of various types.

As you can see in these example, the % completion (on Done column) is calculated automatically for each epic with no extra work.
