How to override "New comment" button

Hello,

I'm in charge of a new Jira that have been customized but I dunno how.

It's a Jira Service Management 5.1.1/Jira Core 9.1.1

It have scriptrunner, Markin, and a SAML module installed

It have some strange thing I never saw before. Instead of the "Add comment" as a text field that expend when you click on it, it's an "Add comment" button as below

I need to look at a problem with the comments (whenever you try to click to add an attachment it disappears) and I'm trying to find where this button have been added.

It seems not to be on scriptrunner Fragments and if I create a new project this behaviour is automatically passed. Do you know if it could have been Jria templates that have been modified ? If so, where can I find them and/or compare to original ones ?

I tried to find the .vm files but was unable to find where they are. Can you help me ? It's a Jira docker image that is running Jira On-prem. I searched in the $JIRA8INSTALL_DIR but found nothing. From what I found vm files are the velocity templates, that's it ? 
WOuldn't those kind of frontend modifications be in the jsp files I found in atlassian-jira directory ?

Yes it could wel be that .vm files have been modified.

The option you have is to install the same version on another server and compare the files.

Or maybe the previous admin stored the original files somewhere

But the add comment button is default in Jira DC, this is not custom for JSM in on-prem.
