Setting a Required column on Table Grid Next Generation

Question

I am using Table Grid Next Generation, and I am setting  a grid column as required in the grid configuration, but when the table shows up on the screen it doesn't show the column as required. Only if the user hits the "+" sign on the table on the screen to add a record to the table they become required. Is there a way to have the column required without this extra step. It kind of defeats the purpose if the user has to do that first?

The required column logic activates when a row is about to be added. If no rows are added, it will be counted as not adding anything. We are aiming to standardize this behavior, and I hope it doesn’t significantly affect your experience with our app.
