How to Download SP Metadata File in Jira Server

Hello,

 

I’m using Jira Server and need to download the SP metadata XML file for SSO configuration. While I can see the ACS (Assertion Consumer Service) URL and Entity ID in Jira, I’m unable to find a way to download the SP metadata as an XML file.

 

Could someone guide me on how to obtain the XML metadata file, or if there's a specific method to generate or download it?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Jira Server does not automatically generate an SP metadata XML file. You will need to create it manually using the ACS URL and Entity ID that you already have. You can use these steps: 

• Edit the Metadata XML: Replace YOUR_ENTITY_ID with your Jira instance's Entity ID and YOUR_ACS_URL with your ACS URL.

• Save the Metadata XML: Save this content as an XML file, for example, jira-sp-metadata.xml.

• Upload or Provide the Metadata File: You can now upload this file to your Identity Provider (IdP) or provide it as needed for your SSO configuration.
