Can "mention" notification emails show the images (w/o opening the Jira issue)?

Hi, Jira Gang!

My team works with a lot of "mentions" in our Jira issues.

My boss has asked me to figure out whether email notifications where someone has "at-ed" you can show images (we use a lot of screenshots in Jira) in the actual notification email, as opposed to having to open the Jira issue itself to see the images?

I'm not an admin. for our Jira account, just a lowly user.  ;-)

Does anyone have any ideas? (And does my question even make sense?)
