Change "Remove from Sprint" functionality to move tickets to backlog

Is there a way to change how the "Remove from Sprint" action (When you right click on a ticket" works under the hood.

Typically this will move the ticket to the next sprint, I would like the action to instead always move that ticket to the backlog.

I'm looking for a setting that will allow me to change this behaviour.

You can do exactly what you describe in backlog view. The top sprint in the list is the active sprint. If you right click an issue there, you can get it to another sprint or to top or bottom of the backlog.

Drag and drop is an option to in that view.
