How to change project lead to unassigned?

Hello everyone,

i'm trying to change a project lead to unassigned, but there is no option to do this. I click on "edit defaults" and can change the project lead to anyone else but not to none or unassigned.

When I click on "edit defaults" i can change the project lead to anyone else but not to "none" or "unassigned".

Does anyone know how to do this? I'm working with Jira v9.4.21 Datacenter Version

that was a really quick answer. I didn't know that there has to be a project leader.

Hi @Rainer Israel , Welcome to the community!

Project lead is a unique role in project and cannot be empty, by default it is the person creating the project.
