How can someone submit a jira form without a jira account?

We would prefer to use Jira Forms for collecting project requests because of the Jira automation, however not all of the company users have a Jira license, but in looking at the form sharing requirements it says the user must have a license. Does anyone have a solution or work around for this? Beyond just having someone with a license submit on their behalf? Maybe a Slack form?

Jira Work Management really requires a license for majority of the functionality to work. Jira Service Management allows users (as customers) to submit requests without a Jira license and this includes forms. You can then use an automation to create a Jira Work Management issue from that request.

@Todd Wagner Sorry should have been more clear. Jira Service Management has it's own form product that is different than the form builder in Jira Work Management. I would relate Jira Work Management form to a Jira Service Management Request. You can build the request in the portal to collect information to create a Jira Service Management issue. With Smart Jira Forms, anyone can submit a form to create Jira issues across Software, Work Management, and Service Management projects. As part of the SaaSJet team (the developers of Smart Jira Forms), I can guide you through the process.

First, create a form within the Smart Jira Forms add-on. It offers various fields, including attachments and embeddable elements, allowing you to add images, videos, and documents (e.g., from your drive). You can customize the form's colors and fonts to match your branding. Consider whether you need conditional logic for dynamic field display based on user input.

Next, move to the settings tab to configure actions. If you want issues to be created upon submission, choose the "Create Issue" feature and select the project and issue type for the form. Map the form fields to corresponding Jira fields for data transfer.

Then, choose how to share your form. For external users, generate a unique form URL that anyone can access. You can embed this URL on your website, use it as an iframe in Confluence, or include it in HTML-formatted emails. Forms can also be added manually or automatically to Jira issues and JSM request forms.
