"Timeout after 10 minutes" & "Error fetching remote repo 'origin'" errors

We have migrated Bitbucket from Server to Cloud and now we have integrated Bitbucket Cloud with Jenkins Server.

In pipelines/automatic jobs, sometimes we get:

--no-tags --force --progress -- git@bitbucket.org:workspace/repo-name.git +refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/origin/* # timeout=10

ERROR: Timeout after 10 minutes

ERROR: Error fetching remote repo 'origin'

Credentials should be good because when rerunning the pipeline at another time the checkout succeeds.

Also, it happens when some users try to do it manually.

Right now, we only know its' happening on this repository.

I see you have raised an internal support ticket to report this issue and one of my colleagues will be assisting you on that soon.

In order to avoid any confusion that may arise from discussing the same issue in multiple different places, I would suggest focusing the investigation on the support ticket

Once the issue is solved, if you feel comfortable, feel free to share the solution that worked for you in this post so other community users may also try the same solution if they encounter a similar error.
