How can I bring in a filter from a different project to a kanban board of a different project?

I am trying to bring in a filter from a different project onto the kanban board for a different project. How can I do this?

You can just copy the jql of the filter (you want to use) then apply the jql to the board filter.

Hmmm. I dont understand. Im new to this so if you could be more descriptive it would be helpful.

Unless someone knows something I do not (I'm sure they'll speak up), board filters are board-specific. You'll have to recreate—copy/paste—and adjust the filter for each board as needed.
