Is there a way to put a red flag on the Jira board / Calendar view to say DO NOT do work specific dates due to change freeze?

You can do individual tickets but not a general note.
Pity...would be good to be able to add that in the Calendar view as a future enhancement... thanks for the response and confirmation.
Agreed. Just click on the Give feedback link on the bottom left and let them know. Maybe they will get that incorporated in the future.
