Ad-Hoc form

Question

I am looking to create an ADHOC form on my Jira board (Operations) which will have a dropdown for different boards(Growth , Technology ) along with fields like Desription , summary and Assignee .

But the twist is that whenever the form is filled I want to create the project on different job boards instead of Operations  .

Is there a way to achieve this?

Hi , loved the logic , however  I would love if I could have more specific instructions .Like how do I call the projects from the dropdown menu , and one more thing the issue type I am looking to create it for is "Ad-Hoc" not "tasks" . But your assumption is spot on

Hi @Mesum Muhammad

Can I confirm the logic here...

* You'll have a Form on a Jira Work Management Project
* Users will choose from a field which has a list of different Boards (i.e Projects)
* When the issue is created, it should be created/cloned into the other Project, based on the option chosen in the field

...is this correct?

You can do this using Automation - you could...

* Allow the issues to be created in the JWM Project
* Have an Automation Rule which activates when each issue is created
* Clone the issue into their target Project
* Use IF/ELSE conditions to have different avenues depending on the option chosen - eg.* IF Field = Growth, clone the issue into the Growth Project
* ELSE-IF Field = Technology, clone the issue into the Technology Project
* ...etc

^ You could then close the original issue, or even delete it, if it's no longer required.

Note: If you do intend to use this method, please be aware Free instances have limited rule executions available per month - see more information on this help page

Does this sound like it would work for you?

If you need any more specific instructions on how to set this up, let us know - we'd be happy to help :)
