Bulk Add Labels from CSV

Question

I am looking to add a list of predefined labels into a project , but cannot see how to do this.

Not all issues will have the same label, I have around 2000 i would like to add... please help.

Hi @David Perry

As in, you want to create 2000 labels in Jira so they can be used on a Project?

If yes, a CSV import will read one label per column. So you could...

* Use a CSV to create one issue (as you need to upload at least one)
* Set the required parameters (Summary, etc)
* Create a range of columns, all entitled "Labels"
* Put one label per column
* Upload it

...this should do it.

I gave it a go, I managed to upload 1899 labels into one issue. So you'd need at least 2 issues.
