Upgrading from 9.4.11 to 9.4.14 Error

Question

Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade Jira Server on premise from version 9.4.11 to 9.4.14 and towards the end of the upgrade i get the following errors:

"error while attempting to remove the previous installation directory. Some files may be in use. Please close all related programs and try again"

"program files/Atlassain\JIRA\jre\bin\awt.dll. This file already exists, would you like to overwrite"

"program files/Atlassain\JIRA\jre\bin\awt.dll. Could not create this file, shall i try again"

And then the upgrade fails and by this point the old installation has been deleted, luckily i can revert to back snapshot.
