Assign to group

Dear  Atlassian Community,

We are working on a new project in Jira Work Management (cloud). In our workflow, there is a transation (It is an approval.), and after this, we would like to assign the issue automaticaly to a demand management group. Is there any way to solve this?

Hi,

I have a workaround: 

1. Create a new group picker custom field and name it as "Assignee group"
2. Add this field to the project screens
3. Add "demand management group" to all the required permissions in project.
4. For the desired transition, add a post function "Update Issue Custom Field". Select field as "Assignee Group" and give the value as "demand management group" and publish the workflow.
5. Now go to project settings --> Notification. 
   Add "Group Custom Field Value (Assignee Group)" to "Issue updated" event
