Content editor
Last week, we introduced the Content editor. This editor contains all the content elements you know, along with advanced styling options that make customizing your dashboard easier. As a result of this release, the old functionality for creating individual content elements will no longer be available. Any existing text, line, and link content elements on your dashboard, will require a migration. We highly recommend that you migrate your content on your own to ensure it matches your preferred formatting and styling. Read how to migrate your existing line, link, and text content elements using our migration guide
Sparklines in table charts
Sparklines are the latest addition to our table chart visualization options. You can use them to track data trends over time. When you add a sparkline to your table, it will appear as a simplified mini chart that gives a clear overview of data trends, without all of the details that are in full-sized charts.
You can add the following mini charts to your table:
-
Bar chart
-
Area chart
-
Line chart
Jira Align Enterprise Insights connector and dashboard templates
If your organization has Jira Align Enterprise Insights, one of your organization admins can now connect it to Atlassian Analytics. Once connected, you’ll be able to create your own custom charts or dashboards to analyze your Jira Align data, or use one of the five new dashboard templates that are available. Read more in our Enterprise Insights announcement.
Updated Assets dashboard template
We’ve replaced the “Assets overview” dashboard template with a revamped version titled Reports for assets. This new template has lots of new charts to give you even more insight into your asset and configuration management data within Jira Service Management.
Product filter for browsing dashboard templates
To help you browse through our growing list of dashboard templates, we’ve added a product filter to make it easier to find dashboards that are specific to particular products.
Data Lake updates
“Parent issue ID” column
Now that more issue hierarchy data is available in the Data Lake, we’ve added a new “Parent issue ID” column to make it easier to query parent-child relationships. The new column is in the “Issue” table under “Jira family of products”. Read more about the new column and check out the video example in our announcement.
