Text in issue description is not getting bold

Hi Community,

I'm noticing a weird issue. Texts in the issue description are not getting bold, and neither bullet points displaying; instead, it's showing stars; however, in the view screen, it looks fine. We are using a data center with a test and a production environment. In the test environment, it is displayed in bold; there is no issue, but I'm noticing this behavior in production.  I'm attaching the screenshot of both environments. Any idea what the issue is?

Did you check if the rich text editor is enabled, as described here:? https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/rich-text-editing-938847886.html#:~:text=From%20the%20top%20navigation%20bar,enable%20or%20disable%20the%20editor.
