Can I use F5 GTM for "Jira DC" across multiple data centers to form a cluster?

Hi,
I am looking to setup F5 GTMs to form JiraDC/ConfluenceDC clusters across 2 data centers. Is this possible to do with out F5 LTMs? Any examples available on Atlassian doco?
