It won't work after license expiration, but there can be variants. I saw next cases

* plugin was working, but it showed notification, that "license is expired"
* plugin was not working, all functionality was hidden, no information message.
* functionality was frozen, it only showed message about license

So, as @John Funk said, it's better to ask plugin vendor, what exactly will be in your case.
