We sometimes change the names of laptops, is there a way to search for objects by a attributes old value
In JQL, there are operators like WAS to search for historical values, but it seems IQL (Insight's own query language) doesn't offer those. So I think it is not really possible.
As a workaround, you could take daily snapshots of your objects and search in historical snapshots if that is worth the efforts.
