Manual Trigger from an Epic to create stories and add the trigger epic as the epic link

Hello everyone,

 

I am trying to create a manual trigger automation that will be triggered from an epic to create a set of specific stories for each epic. The only problem I have is that I am not able to map the stories to that specific epic. 

When I am triggering the rule it creates the stories successfully except the epic link field. 

I have tried all options on the Epic Link : 

Copy from trigger issue.

Copy from Epic.

Copy from parent.

Copy from isssue.

 

 

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Hi Nikolaos,

What type of project is this? Team-managed? Company-managed?

Try using {{triggerIssue.key}} for the Epic Link field if it is Company-managed. 

Use the Parent field if it is Team-managed.
