How create an issue with information from other issue

Hi team

 

I want to create an issue using information of the fields that the user type on on the screen when the user closed the issue.

 

I know I can automate the process, but I do not know how can I take the info of the fields.

I think you'll probably want to use Jira Automation for this. (there's a specific action for copying fields from the trigger ticket)

You'll need to essentially set-up the following rules:

• Go to project settings
• Go to automation
• Create new rule
• Trigger: Ticket transitioned to 'Closed'
• New action: Create Issue
  • Choose the field which you want to copy the value to
  • Click "..." and choose Copy From
  • Choose from the "Field to copy value from" the field from which you want to copy the value from.
