Delete hidden sprint

Question

Hello everyone,

We have a problem with some sprints in our environment that we do not fully understand, in some issues there is a section called "future sprint" however when we access the dashboard we do not see any sprint with that name, is there any way to remove these sprints?

Regards.

Hello @Florian Bonniec ,

We already tried to do that, but when we access the dashboard we don't see the sprint anywhere and we don't know how to locate it.

Regards.

If this Sprint has been assigned to the issue but it's not related to the board, it has probably been set through the Sprint field directly or the issue is present in another Sprint board.

If you want to remove it, you can go to the board the Sprint is managed in and remove your issue.

In order to do that, you can run a JQL query Sprint = "Sprint Name", JIRA should replace the Sprint name by the sprint ID. From this ID you should be able to find the related board using the rest api.

https://docs.atlassian.com/jira-software/REST/9.8.0/#agile/1.0/sprint-getSprint

You should be able to reach the baord by replacing th id in the board url you are using by the one returned by the rest call.

Hello @Florian Bonniec

I'm not entirely sure, but I think so since the "Sprint" field does not exist on any screen except the detail of the issue.
