Error: remote: Invalid username or password
fatal: Authentication failed for {URL}

 

No matter what I do, I get this message.  I have already cleared all of the credentials saved in Windows Credentials Manager. I have updated my username/password on atlassian, I have uninstalled/reinstalled source tree several times, and I am just out of ideas.

 

Could you please suggest the solution

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Based on the error message you are receiving, I suspect you might be using the account password (the password used to log in on the UI) to authenticate on Sourcetree, and this is the reason why it's currently failing.

Since earlier last year, account passwords can no longer be used for git activity and API calls, and app passwords should be used instead.

In this case, I would suggest try creating an app password , and then using your bitbucket username and the app password as the credentials for authentication.
