We need to have an email sent if a status of a user story is changed

Hi Team,

We need to have an email sent if a status of a user story is changed if there are actions to comments needing responding to as we still not receiving any notifications from Jira.

 

Please guide me how to achueve this scenarios.

there are three parts to your question:

1. "We need to have an email sent if a status of a user story is changed"
   • Have you tried using Automation? You can create a rule triggered by Issue Transitioned with the action of Send an Email (see images)
   • 
   • An alternative to automation is using the Notification Scheme, but that doesn't have the level of customization you appear to want.
2. "if there are actions to comments needing responding to"
   • I don't understand. Do these comments that you speak of affect the email that needs to be sent? What types of comments are you referring to?
3. "we still not receiving any notifications from Jira."
   • Are you saying you aren't receiving any notification at all? Or are you saying you aren't receiving these specific notifications about issue status change that you want to be receiving?
