disable attachment deletion notifications

I will remove attachments in old tasks using a python script. When deleting , notifications are sent to employees by email , how can I get around this ?

Seems like this is due to this bug: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-70354

perhaps I can disable notifications using the api before running the script?
