New user - How do I create a filter to be used on a Kanban Board that I am creating?

On Jira Cloud (hopefully it's similar if you're on Server/Data Center):

* Open the Filters pulldown in the top menu bar
* Select Advanced issue search
* Build the filter to get the list of issues you want* You can try this is Basic mode or Advanced/JQL mode - even Advanced/JQL mode is pretty straightforward
* The docs are pretty good:* Basic Search
* Advanced/JQL Search

* Once you have the list of issues you want, click Save as (top left)
* Give your filter a name and click Submit
* When prompted for the filter name during board creation, use the one you just created
