Can I edit all boards to show a new field in the issue detail view?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Configuring the Issue Detail View

I need to add a new date field we have on all of our boards - how can I add it to all boards at once?

Unfortunately, it is a board level configuration. You will have to request the board owners to take care of it on their boards I am afraid!
