oh it sounds like the tool is EOL.
I just saw it mentioned on this page (and others)

so i thought it was still usable.
not sure, maybe it should be removed from documentation pages

I can perform the manual steps to get to my desiderata.

That is an unsupported app provided by Atlassian Lab and the related wiki seems to be not reachable. What is your desiderata? We can support you in order to find an alternative way.
