How to set a predefined/quick filter in List view

I would like to have a predefined filter for my items, eg (statusCategory != Done OR (statusCategory = Done AND updatedDate >= -2w)) in the List view. Much like the Quick Filter functionality in Jira Software.

The obvious filter function in the List view is only capable of simple filters.

How can I achieve more complex filters in a convenient way?

if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, this feature would be available in the app that my team is working on, JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering all your issue fields - along with advanced features such as support for configurable issue hierarchies and groupings, sum-ups, and conditional formatting.

JXL is centred around the concept of sheets, of which you can have as many as you want, and each of which is powered by its own JQL statement. As you can switch between sheets really easily, I believe it would match your use case nicely.

JXL integrates with the project sidebar, so many of our customers use it as an extension to the native Jira views. It's also worth pointing out that JXL works with any Jira product and an project type - not just Jira Work Management.

Hi John,

The columns in the List view are fine. I just want to be able to see all open items and items closed in the past week or 2, for the weekly teammeeting. It's no use seeing items closed months ago.

No offense to you, but it rubs me the wrong way that I should pay extra for a feature that should be present and in fact IS present in other Jira products that work more or less similar.

Yeah, that view is very limited for any kinds of custom queries like that. The other possibility is to create a second board and then you can do those kinds of things. It just won't be a List view. No offense taken! - I absolutely see where you're coming from. JXL, I believe, goes well beyond the scope of Jira's native issue list views, with many more awesome features in the making. But for the specific request of a "quick filter" feature, I don't disagree with you, this should be part of the standard offering.
