Jira plugin usage report

How can i get a information or details of the plugin usage in jira ?  Need a report on the plugin usage in jira application like how many projects are using a particular plugin and how many active users are using it.

I would like to know if there is any rest api to fetch the details of the plugins used actively in the application or is there any solution available to get the report on the same in order to analyze the plugins installed in the system.

You simply can't do this.  Every app injects different things in to Jira, and hence could be used in all sorts of different ways.  Which means each app would have to include something that reports on how it is used itself.

Some, of course, do do some tracking, some have some functions that can track and there are some that can be traced, but because they're all done differently, there's no one single way you can identify usage.

Take, for example, Scriptrunner.  Scriptrunner is in the middle of the range for apps - it has a script registry that can tell you where scripts have been configured, but it can't tell you how it is being used.  You may have different interpretations of "use" as well - an admin writes a script (yep, that's definitely "used"), but does it count as "use" when it is a listener that every user triggers (even if it then does nothing because it is configured to only do stuff in certain cases)?

You can do some basic stuff - there are housekeeping apps in the marketplace that can give you some of the "where app is configured to be used", and I'm going to blatantly plug Adaptavist's "Microscope" because one of the reports in it lists all the places that apps have been used in workflows (post-functions, conditions and validators). 

But on the most part, you're going to need to look at what each app does, then go digging through the config.
