How to add something to Activity Stream via REST API ?

Hi,

Is it possible to add something (log) to an Activity (in issue) using REST API? I'd like to log some changes - but these are not customfields changes. So the History of Changes doesn't apply. That's why I think about Activity. Will someone be nice to advise something?
