We're just end users here but, * Yes, it's the difference * No limits, although if your licence runs out, you'll be renewing or getting a new licence * Depends on what you buy - some people will buy the remaining months on their current licence and renew as usual, others will restart the year clock. (Either way, your existing licence is taken into account)

Yes, add-ons need to be licenced at the same level as your highest application number (JIRA Core, JIRA Software or JIRA Service Desk).
