Requirements review by groups

philippos

We have many requirements that we need to be reviewed by a group of experts.

Each of the experts must provide comments, and all reviews must be monitored and a dashboard must be maintained.

Can this be assisted by a plug-in? By some kind of method to assing many requirements to many experts, maybe as sub-tasks?

Thank you

I'm also very interested in a potential available built-in solution / plugin, many thanks!

Hey @philippos and @Alexander Bergmayr

I am from the Requirement Yogi team!

We are an app that helps you manage requirements in Confluence. I think your question can be answered, depending on wether your experts will have access to your Confluence site, and if you are on Data Center or Cloud.

- On Data Center, you can export your requirements from Confluence to excel, and let your experts add comments, then you can re-import them in the app using the Excel Loop.

- On Cloud, you can export your requirements to excel, but there is no way to import them back in Confluence, so your users would need to have access to your Confluence site to add comments.

You can also take a look at document approval apps in the marketplace if that is better for you. I think it also depends if you see requirement management in Jira or Confluence, there are a lot of apps in the marketplace that could help you I believe.

Let me know if you have more questions, or if you would like to have a call, contact us in our customer portal: https://support.requirementyogi.com/.

Bests,

Mileva 😉

Hi @Mileva Briand,

many thanks for your reply! Currently we are using Jira/R4J for requirments management. Unfortunately there are not really Add-ons for "issue approval" available in marketplace. What I'm looking for is:

1) Select issues and assign them to reviewers (currently we use custom multiuser field to achieve this)

2) Notify the reviewer (e.g., per E-mail + customer filter to let the review directly access the requirements to be reviewed)

3) Let the reviewers express that the did the review (e.g. again custom multiuser field + comments). Inline comments in jira for issues would be great indeed but not yet supported.

4) Now how can we easily get the issue that require improvement, e.g. with filter checking wether comments have been added? However resolving comments is also not supported in Jira, so it's difficult to keep track what is open / done and for which requirements a second review round can be triggered.

Maybe in combination with the issue status, it is possible to monitor the requirements that still need improvement. I think that automation could also help to reduce the manual effort of status change, however I haven't yet configured automated tasks.

If you have recommendations for supporting such a review process, I would love to hear it, Alexander

Was this "review cockpit" feature ever implemented in R4J? One of the problems with requirements for us is that the get put in the system but never really reviewed or refined. It would be extremely useful to have R4J support a review process for requirements.

Hello @philippos , @Patrick Wright , @Alexander Bergmayr ,

we´ve released our brand new easeRequirements Ultimate edition for Jira Data Center as BETA this month. It is an extension to easeRequirements (Standard) for Jira (formerly R4J).

This extension will provide you following great features:

Review Cockpit: Ask your team to check your requirements within the tree.

Data Modeler: Define, enforce, and check link relations between issue types.

Formula and UML Editor: Add image attachments of mathematical formula, system architecture, workflows, and processes to your requirements.

Quick Linking: Create links between issues by simple drag-and drop.

Glossary: Define glossary terms centrally and highlight them in every project.
Combine Baselines: Join sub-component baselines to a combined product snapshot.

Reuse Baseline: Recreate your product issues from an existing baseline.

It is planned to finally release the Ultimate edition for Data Center in this Quarter (Q3/2024), for Cloud it should come next quarter (Q4/2024).

Please contact our service desk team if you enquire questions.

Best Regards,

Bernhard from Ease Solutions

Hi @Alexander Bergmayr @philippos @Patrick Wright

We have officially released easeRequirements (formerly R4J) 5.0!

From this version, you can enable premium features with easeRequirements Ultimate!

Request team members to review your requirements within the tree in the review cockpit. Here's a recommended read to get started: Review Cockpit: Quickstart.

Check out our feature documentation to get an overview of the full capabilities available with Ultimate.

I a previous reply it was mentioned that easeRequirements ultimate for cloud was planned to be released in Q4 of last year. I see that the Data Center version has been released but that Cloud is still not yet available.

I've been eagerly awaiting to try out the new approval features.

Do you have a rough idea when the Cloud version will be released?

Bernhard Doleschel _Ease Solutions_

Hello @Patrick Wright ,

we are still working on the release for Ultimate on Cloud. There is already a beta version ready providing the review cockpit feature in it. If you interested to try, please contact our service desk to get access in one of your cloud test instances (just let us know your instance name, so we can enable it there): https://support.easesolutions.com/

The release with the first features is right now planned for end of February 2025.

Best Regards,

Bernhard
