After deleting an anchor page by mistake around 500 child pages are moved to the highest level in the space.Is there a (simple) way to move these child pages back to a meaningfull place in het space hierarchy?

Unfortunately you can't reoder multiple pages in one shot. You need to do that page by page in Confluence Space Admin section -> Reoder Pages

I have admin rights but reordering pages in the root of the space seems not to be possible.
As a space admin , you can drag and drop them in a different location at your convenience indipendently from page location.
Then there must be something wrong on the server because a drag action does not have any effect.Thanks for your support!
