How I skip manual step in bitbucket pipeline

Case: we have canary setup using argocd rollout and need to 

1. pausing pipeline (we could do this with manual trigger)
1. manual promote the version if the version is success
2. undo if the version if failed

how could i do that since pipeline is just one way. either i promote or undo the deployment. 

there is some work around to make one of them is on custom pipeline. but thats not we expect of a pipeline. is there any way we got 2 buttons or option on manual pipeline like continue or abort with different step executed when abort or continue

please give us advice or is it still not possible now?

Hi @prima101112,

I'm afraid that there is no way to skip manual steps at the moment.

The workaround is what you mentioned already, you can create a custom pipeline for each of these steps and then manually run the custom pipeline you want each time.

We have a feature request to include a skip option on manual steps:
