How to make a field required based on the value selection of another field

Hi,

I am trying to make a field required based on the value of another field(select list). But the thing is that the select list field is not present on the screen.can we still make this scenario work? I have tried with field required validators and it doesn't seem to work .

Any help on this is appreciated

You could get this to work for a behaviour, you would need this list to have a value already and then on the behaviour you would need to get the underlying issue and check the value of this field, which you can then set the other field to required.

Could you please provide a little more information, i.e. on which screen do you want to hide the Select List and make the second field required? Is it on a Transition screen or the Edit screen?

Also, if the Select List is hidden in that particular screen, you still may be able to get the value of the List, i.e. if the value of the select list matches your condition.

However, if the option that has been selected in the list does not match the condition to set the field to required, it will not be possible to change it.

Could you also please share the current Behaviour code that you are using?

I am not trying to hide any field here.i am just trying to make a field required based on the selection of another field. I am trying with field required validators

My question is that will it work even if the first field is not present on the transition screen on which the other field is being made required based on the value of first field
