I Just want to remove the
"It seems that you have tried to perform an illegal workflow operation.
If you think you shouldn't get this message, please contact your Jira administrators."
and keep first line only. any possible solutions?
Hi @Aswin Dharmaraj As per the screenshot, it seems that Validator is applied on this transtion which is not allowing you to change status.
If you are jira admin, kindly go to project settings >> Workflow >> Open the workflow is mapped with this issue which giving an error >> Go the transition and check if any validator is applied on this transtion something like which restrict to close Parent issue until child issues in Completed or Rejected status.
Thanks

Hi @Vikrant Yadav ,
Actually I added one Related Issue(s) Validator and added the error message "Please move all the child....". While doing the false transition I am seeing the excepted error msg along with "It seems that you have tried to perform an illegal workflow operation. If you think you shouldn't get this message, please contact your Jira administrators." I want to know that is their any way to remove those second two line of error message.
ie.
It seems that you have tried to perform an illegal workflow operation.
If you think you shouldn't get this message, please contact your Jira administrators.
@Aswin Dharmaraj May i know which validator are you using is it JSU plugin or Script runner plugin ?
@Aswin Dharmaraj Kindy apply a transition screen on this transition, then this error message won't come. Only error message which you set will display.
@Aswin Dharmaraj unfortunately, this is a limitation of Jira. If you don't have a transition screen, it will display any validation error the way you're seeing. And if you add a transition screen, it will be displayed always and the user will need to click on the confirmation button on the transition screen, which is not good.
There is no known workaround.
@Aswin Dharmaraj Hi!
Have you solved the problem?
I have the same problem
