Users want a select list that compiles values from another field

You can create the select list (multiple Choice) Or Select List (Single choice)
May i know the use case?
@Sachin Dhamale ,Essentially, they are wanting a field like the Component field but having a value list from other system and custom fields used in the project. Fields like Reporter, Created Date, Resolution, Assignee etc...

You want to populate values from other jira instance? or some external DB or tool?
@Sachin Dhamale Other data fields within Jira used in the project. Similar to the Component field. When a project has multiple components, the Component field lists them for selection in an issue.
