Converting a Task into a Story

Hello,

If I "Move" a JIRA ticket from a task to a story, what will happen to the sub-tasks of that task? Will they become sub-tasks of the Story?

Horrible UI design - no one would figure out (other than the developer of this so called feature) that this is how it's done.

There are two ways this can be achieved

1)By clicking on the Epic, Story, Task, Sub task,bug, it will show the of change issue type and select the type and it get converted immediately.

2) ... on the right corner and click on move option, then select type and continue until the last step.
