How to copy an excel row to a table in confluence?

I need to update/add values in a table already created in Confluence, from an excel file (the table from excel is the same as the table in Confluence), and the only way I can do it right now is copy-pasting cell by cell from excel to each cell in Confluence (if I select the whole row and copy it to the confluence table, all the values are copied in one cell in the Confluence table, like nested), and this is not convenient if I need to update several rows, it takes too much of my time, please help.

Copying straight from excel and pasting it in confluence table works. I have tested this for example -

Assume we have below table with header and rows in excel, copy the rows from a2 to c4.

Create similar table in confluence and click on the first row eg: header1 column/a2 and simply paste it.

You can also update the content in excel later and copy/paste it similar to what I mentioned above.

Hi @Mirian Camarillo ,

We can suggest browsing the Marketplace - it seems that there should be even free apps that allow you to create good-looking tables from CSV files/URLs/Google Docs. So, you'll be able to update your local table and all the changes will be reflected on the Confluence page.

As for our own app (that is Table Filter and Charts for Confluence), it is a paid app which main purpose is to replace Excel and filter, aggregate, calculate and visualize table data right in Confluence.

But it also provides the Table from CSV macro that will fully accomplish your case.

I'm pretty new with Confluence and I'm still learning, any pointers are welcome, if this way is faster to work with tables, I'll try it.

Thank you Katerina, since I'm working with confidential data I rather not using any apps not approved by my company and since I'm not expert in Confluence, I don't feel confident testing with something I'm not familiar, but thank you for your advise.

Yes you can. If you click on the + on the Confluence Ribbon while on Edit mode

Then enter in the search field Excel as shown on the screenshot.

When you have time I will suggest you to invest some time checking all macros available under the "+" sign
