Java Quarkus Native build - Build out of memory

Question

Hi all,

In our project we are using Quarkus Java and using native builds with GraalVM. This uses quite a bit of memory, causing our pipeline to fail most of the time.

We're already using memory x2 and not using any services like Docker that eat away from our 8GB memory limit.

Questions:

* Why does this fail most of the time, but not always?
* Is there a way to fix this?

We've found a workaround for now. It seems to be possible to set a limit on the memory that may be used during build via our pom.xml:
