Create a CMS Jira project using Jira software instead of Jira Service Desk

We have a Jira project that is a change management system(CMS).

This Jira project is done with Jira Software (on-premise).

We do not support Jira Service Desk and our user wants his current project to follow a CMS structure in Jira Software instead of the usual agile ones.

Is this possible? If yes, how?

Hi Carlos,

The problem is that we cannot use Jira Service Desk just to serve the business needs of only 1 project.

That's why I thought if we have already in Jira software like a template maybe that matches a Change Management System?

Its workflows and schemes would then be more compatible to this business project than the current agile one (which is currently used and ends up with too much customization that the business is unable to use it simply anymore)

Yes this is possible and it will require some customization on your side.

We have built CSM with the use of the Servado Portal Plugin + Jira Core/Software.  Here is a demo site from Servado: https://demo.servado.io/plugins/servlet/gateway?id=4#!/dashboard

The advantage of Servado + jira Core/Software in Server is that you will be saving a lot of money from the expensive JSM Agent licenses and you have a friendly user portal for users to submit tickets.  Servado is fully integrated with Jira.
