How to change subdomain

Is there any way to change my subdomain and add a custom one?

Hi

We had the same Request and have been in the admin.atlassian.com find a solution.

Under Products -> Product URLs -> Custom domains can you add a Custom Domain

Then you must select the Product for the Portal

the Applies to

Help Center

Then creat a Custem Domein vor your Portal

Specify your domain
Domains must follow the format of subdomain1.subdomain2.domain. Both subdomains are required for security purposes.

AND IMPORTANT, scroll Down to the Option

Redirect URL
Add an optional redirect
Make your custom domain easier to remember with a simpler redirect URL. When someone uses this URL they’ll be redirected to the custom domain.

Redirect URL (optional)
in dies Field, you can insert your old URL

https:// servicedesk.companyname.com/

Then Atlassian create you the CNAME for your Domain Controller

Thank you for reaching out to Community.

When using Jira cloud, it’s not possible to change the URL and this is also true for the customer portal.

There is a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:

Create ability to customize the Customer Portal URL in JIRA Service Management

Please, click on Vote and also Watch to receive updates about the feature.

As a workaround, you can use 301 redirects. It means that you can redirect the portal URL, for example, https://mycompany.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1 to a custom link, e.g. www.mycompany.com.

As this is something that must be configured on your side, there is no documentation from Atlassian.

Are you referring to the portal URL?  If so, currently it is not possible out of the box.  Please see https://confluence.atlassian.com/confeval/jira-service-management-evaluator-resources/jira-service-management-customize-your-portal-url

It is my understanding it is a feature that Atlassian is still gathering interest from the user communities.
