Allowing users to edit field once only?

Hi All, is there a way to only allow users to edit the field once?

i've a screen that pops up in a transition screen requiring user to input "release date" i want to allow the user to input a date. however, if the user wishes to change the date in the future, there is another field called "New Revised release date"

doing so would make it easy in our dashboard to capture any delays of delivery from our "base date" to our new revised date

Hi Ahmed,

You could take the release date field off of the Edit screen that that the only way to edit it is through the transition screen when you transition to a new status. 

On that same transition, add a validator that the New Revised Release Date must be empty so that they don't populate that one in advance. But it will need to stay on the Edit screen. Or you could have that field only available on each transition to the next status.
