Is it possible to automate based on which Portal Group a request was raised from?

For example if Portal Groups relate to different services I'd like to have one "Report a System Problem" request which is available under multiple Portal Groups, and automatically define the "Affected Service" based on which Portal Group it originated from.

I've not been able to find a JQL or smart value to validate the Portal Group.

Apologies if this quest has already been raised but I couldn't see anything in the community boards!

I'm looking for the same functionality as Drew.

Why are we able to reuse request types if then we can't differentiate between them, either via automation or through group default values? If the only option left if duplicate the request types to have different values upon creation, it defeats the purpose of reusing them.

Hi,

I think you need to use something like Automation for Jira for this - I don't know if the free version (lite) would do the trick but worth trying.
