Jira-user unable to edit/delete his own comments

Question

Hi

Suddenly jira user not able to edit/delete my comments which he was able to earlier.

Attached the screenshot-see a link icon once user add a comment. I was able to edit/delete comments earlier on any issue type. Now i can't see the deletion icon?

What would be the issue? user is administrator.

This just started happening on our Jira server also.  I'm full admin, and the permission helper says I should have access to editing my own comments, but the edit icon is missing on all comments

Check the project permissions.  Maybe something changed with the project.  Maybe your role or group membership changed.  Something probably changed in a way that removed your ability to perform this action.

Try the permission helper.
